He'd been running four trucks for three years. Revenue was up every year. His accountant pulled the net margin numbers for those same three years: 6.1%, 5.4%, 4.8%.

Revenue up 64%. Margin compressing every year. He was growing, and each dollar of revenue was producing less than the one before it. He was thinking about hiring another tech.

The new hire was about to make this worse.
